Let me start by saying we’ve gained a lot of new followers over the past week; it seems ‘Hope’ is a big hit. I’m so grateful to each of you for taking the time to read and follow, and I welcome you to my corner of the web.

I want to tell you all that I don’t do a ‘follow for a follow’ when it comes to choosing those blogs I read. That said, when I see I have a new follower I will follow back. The purpose of that is to put you in my reader so I am sure to not miss your content the next time I have a chance to catch up. If I’m engaged by your content, the follow stays; I will usually leave a like, explore a little more, though I rarely comment. Please don’t take that personally. It’s all a matter of time management with me. Though if something hits me really hard, I will most certainly leave a comment and let you know.

However, not everything appeals to everyone, so if I’m not moved by your content, I’ll remove my follow. Again, this is nothing personal. It doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate your presence, and the effort you put into your blog. I appreciate all my readers, and keep up as best I can. It’s tough though, with over 2300 followers and only one me!

Thanks to each of you for your continued support.

  1. Thanks for taking the time to say that. I feel pretty much the same way but I’ve never expressed it. It’s just humanly impossible to read all that there is to be read by the few followers that I have, and as you say, not all of it speaks to me.

    1. At the same time, I feel if someone has taken their time to enjoy my content, the least I can do is acknowledge by checking out theirs! I also make an effort to respond to all the comments here, which takes the majority of my commenting energy πŸ˜‰ The beauty of blogging is being able to engage with your audience. Thanks for dropping by!

  2. Blogging has always been a pleasant experience for me, because I care little about who follows me or reads what I write, and care far more that I read and interact with people I like . It can be terribly time consuming and draining, because I feel compelled to check out everyone who follows me, too.
I say, the interactions of us all are always the best when they are done with honesty!

  3. That’s fantastic! 😘 Congrats sweetie! It’s always good to feel accomplished and knowing others out there are reading your work, even though I have long before your website just on amazon instead lol. πŸ’™ But the numbers do make a person feel good, and the acknowledgement does as well πŸ™‚ xoxo – Jodi

  4. Oh, I feel just the same way – I always check out everyone who follows my blog, but I’m at the point where I have to choose carefully who I follow, as I don’t have a lot of time to follow up on posts. So very well put πŸ˜€ And I’m really glad you’re still following me x
