These Things

These things that I keep under lock and key
Secrets and horrors inside of me
Hidden from judgement, from pity, from prayer
This is my soul, my judgement impaired

But you opened your arms, you smiled-you spoke
Of these things in my heart I thought long ago broke
And I trusted your warmth, your promise to stay
It’s enough to keep quiet what demons remain

So I say to you now, you’re the only one able
To put back together this broken unstable
And in return, baby, I give you my soul
Because that, only that, will make us both whole.
